Instructional Design
My Design Process
My approach and methodology: When faced with a new instructional design project, I begin by thoroughly understanding the learning objectives, target audience, and desired outcomes. I analyze the gaps and challenges that learners may encounter and develop strategies to address them. By conducting thorough research and needs analysis, I ensure that my solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the learners and align with organizational goals.
Throughout the design and development phases, I incorporate design principles, adult learning theory, as well as the ADDIE and SAM models. To ensure the effectiveness of my solutions, I employ an iterative process that involves quick prototyping. This allows me to rapidly test and refine instructional materials, making necessary adjustments based on feedback and evaluation. By continuously iterating on designs, I can deliver a final product that maximizes learner engagement and achieves the desired learning outcomes.
Tools I utilize: Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise 360, Microsoft Office, Canva, WellSaid Labs, Vyond, Camtasia, Zoom, and Google Suite and I am constantly adding new tools to my toolbox.
My approach to working with others: I firmly believe that collaboration is crucial to the success of any instructional design project. I actively engage with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other team members throughout the design process. By fostering open communication, I ensure that everyone's input is valued and incorporated into the final solution. I work closely with clients to gather feedback, iterate on designs, and make necessary revisions, ensuring that the end product aligns with their vision.
